Grace E. (Elliott) Rager, of Ligonier, PA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Ligonier Gardens, Ligonier.The daughter of Robert and Minnie (Jellison) Elliott, she was born in New Alexandria, PA.Mrs. Rager was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, since 1924; the Mary Circle and 50+ of the church; Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star; Blairsville Grange #2012 and the AARP.She worked in the dietary department at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1977.She is survived by a brother, Francis Elliott and wife, Lois of Derry; a nephew, Robert Bishop and wife, Virginia of Greensburg and a niece, Minnie Bishop of Latrobe.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Blaine C. Rager on November 25, 1971; four brothers, Irwin, Ray, Kenneth and Clark and a sister, Anna Bishop.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Terry Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery.Eastern Star services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home.
