Dora Louise (McCurdy) Lewis, 82, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Russell and Laura (Hazlett) McCurdy, she was born February 22, 1925 in Hillside, PA.Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, Women of the Moose #187 since 1950 and the Blairsville Grange #2012. She was a helper with the food bank in Derry and Latrobe.Surviving are five sons, I. Glenn Lewis Jr. and wife, Joyce of Fulks Run, VA; Floyd Wayne Lewis and wife, Linda of Brenizer; Russell B. Lewis and wife, Durea of Murfreesboro, TN; Harry Lewis and Suzy Little of Torrance; Carl Lewis and wife, Tami of Chambersburg and a daughter, Gladys Wilkinson and husband, Bobby of Mooringsport, LA; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Downey of Indiana and Elsie Keyser of Butler.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, I. Glenn Lewis Sr. on May 7, 1984; three infant daughters, Mildred L., Sharon A. and Karen A.; five brothers, William, Edward, Raymond, Samuel and John David McCurdy and two sisters, Mamie Eisenhart and Anna Mae Barkley.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
