Samuel B. Stuchell, 81, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.He was born August 19, 1925 in Blacklick Twp., PA, a son of William Roy and Vera Elbertha (Ackerson) Stuchell.Mr. Stuchell was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church and the Woodmen of the World. He enjoyed woodworking and camping.He lived his entire life on the family farm in Blacklick Twp. and was a self-employed dairy farmer.Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Akins and husband, Ted of Blairsville; two grandchildren, Lindsey Akins and Steven Akins; a step-grandchild, Jeff Cochran and wife, Susan; two step-great grandchildren, Logan and Dylan; two brothers, Lealand Stuchell and wife, Mary of Thompsontown and William Stuchell and wife, Maxine of Mansfield, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris (Cribbs) Stuchell on November 7, 1972; two brothers, John and Carl Stuchell and two sisters, Vera Howard and Mary Cochran.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Jason L. McQueen officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
