Earle Copeland Cunningham, 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.He was born July 26, 1920 in Livermore, PA, a son of Wells L. and Acsa Kennedy Cunningham.Mr. Cunningham was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville; Local Union #75, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Greensburg and B.P.O.E #406, Blairsville.He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was employed by John F. Casey Corp. as a carpenter.Surviving are a brother, Dan Cunningham and wife, Cleo of Saltsburg; a sister, Emily Rankin and husband, Perry of Blairsville and numerous nephews and nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stella E. Collavo Cunningham on November 29, 2002; a brother, Richard Cunningham and three sisters, Isabell McPhilimy, Marjorie Lintner and Nora Stairs.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.B.P.O.E. #406 will have services in the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 P.M.
