Victoria (Pavelchick) McCurdy, 86, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.) passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Andrew Pavelchick and Julia Nazadi Pavelchick, she was born October 12, 1920 in Palmertown, PA.Mrs. McCurdy was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral. She enjoyed bowling.Surviving are three brothers, Frank Pavelchick and wife, Mary of Elderton; John Pavelchick and wife, Thelma of Derry; Stephen Pavelchick and wife, Norma of Brush Valley; three half-brothers, Mike Saliga and wife, Patricia of Indiana; George Saliga and wife Sandy of Black Lick; Richard Saliga and wife Patty of Blairsville; two sisters, Ann Pazskow and husband, Alex of Towanda, NY and Martha Jane Hill and husband, Ed of Rochester Mills and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter McCurdy in 1973; three brothers, Thomas, Andrew and Adam Pavelchick and a sister, Mary Edwards.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer Service will be held at 1:30 P.M.
