William Albert Galloway, Sr., 71, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe, PA.He was born April 5, 1935 in Latrobe, PA, a son of William E. and Muriel A. Bothwell Galloway.Mr. Galloway was a member of the Blairsville United Presbyterian Church and graduated from Blairsville High School with the Class of 1953.He retired in 2002 as superintendent of the Waste Water Treatment Plant for the Blairsville Municipal Authority.Surviving are two sons, William A. Galloway, Jr. and wife, Marcia of Lockport, NY and Joel M. Galloway of Blairsville; three daughters, Jean Messenger and husband, Russ of Blairsville; Brenda Khouja and husband, Mohammad of Granada Hills, CA and Kimberly Jo Moody and husband, Doug of Charleroi; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, Janice M. Galloway of Framingham, Massachusetts.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Barbara Jean Lewis Galloway on January 14, 1988.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
