Florence P. Henderson Shanner, 71, of Armagh, PA passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.She was born September 6, 1935 in Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA., a daughter of Alfred R. and Emma Alberta E. Foust Henderson. She lived most of her life in the Bolivar area.Surviving are four sons, James O. Shanner of Armagh; Joseph Shanner of Johnstown; Jerry Shanner of Armagh and Jeffrey Shanner and wife, Denise of Ambridge; three daughters, Janice Winkelman and husband, Terry of Blairsville; Patricia Shanner of Blairsville and Joyce Shirley and husband, Joe of Coral; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Marian Redilla of Bolivar; Alice Jane Robinson of New Florence; Dorothy Baird of Blairsville and Helen James of Bolivar.She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jacob Shanner; two grandchildren, Adam Alexander and Jayson Shanner and two brothers, Albert "Ash" and Owen Henderson.The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Paul L. Carter officiating.Interment will be private.
