Evelyn Mae Wimmil Prola, 80, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.She was born August 9, 1926 in Marstellar, PA, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Bolger Wimmil.Mrs. Prola was a member of the Blairsville United Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Deacon and Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star. Evelyn and her husband, Gued were members of the Indiana Ballroom Dance Club.She graduated from Blairsville High School with the class of 1944 and was employed by the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District for 34 years as the attendance officer, retiring in 1996.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Guerrino J. Prola whom she married on October 29, 1949; three daughters, Kerry L. Dettorre and husband, Nicholas A. of Export; Joni R. McCrady and husband, Gary L. of Mount Joy and Dana E. Thompson and husband, William E. of Indiana and five grandchildren, Nicholas A. Dettorre Jr., Eric J. McCrady, Jordyn A. McCrady, Kelsey E. Thompson and Sean W. Thompson.She was preceded in death by her parents.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, PA. with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, 137 N.
