Stella "Tur" Giesey, 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.She was born January 21, 1920 in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Michelina Tur.Mrs. Giesey had worked for the Blairsville Police Department. She was a member of the Blairsville Grange #2012 and was a Steeler fan, enjoyed cooking and knitting.She is survived by a son, Robert Giesey and wife, Mary of Severn, MD; a sister, Emily Parsons of McConnellsburg; a niece, Janice Robart of Guilford, CT; a nephew, Van Parsons of Alexandria, VA and a cousin, Walter Dubis of Aliquippa.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Giesey on April 21, 1977; two brothers, John Tur and Walter Tur and a sister, Helen Tur.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier, PA
