Kathleen L. "Kathy" Bukosky Richards, 51, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of John J. and Ethel G. Longnecker Bukosky, she was born April 16, 1955 in Indiana, PA.Mrs. Richards was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville and was a very active member of the Blairsville Women's Club.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1973. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from IUP in 1977 and her master's degree in speech and language pathology in 1984 from IUP.Mrs. Richards was a speech pathologist, having worked for 26 years for Penns Manor School District.She was a very devoted wife and mother.Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Howard A. Richards whom she married February 4, 1978; a daughter, Alexandra Richards at home; her father and mother of Blairsville and two brothers, Daniel J. Bukosky and wife, Jean of Black Lick and Thomas J. Bukosky and wife, Dolores of Blairsville.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Thursday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
