Lisa Michelle Smith, 39, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) passed away on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh, PA.A daughter of George E. and Judith E. Heist Smith, she was born September 2, 1966 in Steubenville, OH.Lisa was attending the Living Hope Church of Latrobe. She loved the Lord with all her heart and expressed it through her music.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1984 and attended Messiah College. She lived in Nashville, TN. for nine years where she worked for IBM. The last three years she lived at home while she battled a very aggressive breast cancer. Surviving are her mother, Judy of Blairsville and three brothers, Mike Smith and wife, Sandee of Cresson; Jeff Smith and wife, Shauna of Virginia Beach, VA and Joel Smith and wife, Kendra of Baltimore, MD.She was preceded in death by her father on July 26, 1998.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Keith Tucci officiating.Interment will be in Luther Chapel Cemetery, Coral, PA.
