Mary Eleanor Pehrson Campbell, 85, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of William L. and Irene Miller Pehrson, she was born April 20, 1921 in Penn Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.Mrs. Campbell resided in Greensburg for many years prior to moving to Blairsville in 1985.She graduated from Jeannette High School in 1941 and from Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1943.She worked as a registered nurse at Westmoreland Hospital for 42 years, retiring in 1985.Surviving are a son, Gerry L. Campbell and wife, Bonnie of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Lois Marie Mathews of Irwin; Marcy Lynn Campbell of Latrobe and Michelle Lee Campbell of Englewood, Florida; and a brother, Charles E. Pehrson of Greensburg.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lewis T. Pehrson.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home with Fr. Chester J. Raimer officiating.Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, PA.
