Emily Marie Bennett Libengood, 84, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.A daughter of Raleigh W. and Verna M. Sullinger Bennett, she was born February 10, 1922 in Black Lick, PA.Mrs. Libengood lived her entire life in the Black Lick area. She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1940 and was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church.Surviving are her husband, Paul C Libengood; two sons, Paul L. Libengood and wife, Sandra of Greensburg and Ronald S. Libengood and wife, Sandra of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two brothers, Thomas Bennett of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Richard Bennett and wife, Bernadene of Punxsutawney; three sisters, Margaret Heckman of Warren, Ohio; Roberta Lichtenfels and husband, Mervin of Indiana and Verna Empfield of Johnstown.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Raleigh Bennett and Robert Glenn Bennett.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc. 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Dean E. Byrom officiatingInterment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the Keeper of the Flame, 60 W. Clair St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
