Harry W. "Bill" Auen, 75, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Arnold Palmer Cancer Center, Greensburg, PA.A son of Paul K. and Ruth Forsha Auen, he was born September 19, 1930 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Auen was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Slovak Gymnastic Union Sokol #68 and was a life member of the F.O.E. #1488, all of Blairsville and the United Steelworkers of America. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for H.J. Schneider Co. of Evans City, retiring in 1993.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Edna Mae Beer Auen whom he married November 17, 1961; a son, Ronald W. Auen and wife, Gloria of Monaca; a sister, Alice Gertrude Jones and husband, Dwight of Butler; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Stephanie Muir of Torrance, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald E. Auen.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday with Rev. Timothy R.
