Harvey Dean Grumbling, 75, of Blairsville, PA (Strangford) passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A son of Milton H. and Elda Jones Grumbling, he was born July 14, 1930 in Blairsville, Indiana Co., PA.Mr. Grumbling was a graduate of Blairsville High School in 1949 and lived most of his life in the Strangford area.He worked for FMC, Homer City, PA for 42 years and retired in 1993.Mr. Grumbling served 2 years in the U.S. Army during the occupancy of Germany in 1950-1952.Surviving are a son, Kenneth Grumbling and wife, Lisa; a daughter, Brenda McAdams and husband Ron; a step-daughter, Edna Torok and husband Randy, all of Blairsville, PA; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and very good friends and neighbors, Jim and Carol Smith.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona I. Cain Grumbling on July 15, 1992, and brothers Kenneth, Dale, and Ronnie.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA. Services from the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 A.M. with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment to follow in the Blairsville Cemetery. Military services will be conducted at the cemetery by veterans from the American Legion and the V.F.W.
