Aleen "Teenie" Parker Whitfield, 80, of Blairsville, PA (Josephine) passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Samuel and Alice Brooks Parker, she was born April 4, 1926 in Fayette County, PA.Mrs. Whitfield was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church in Blairsville, where she was a missionary board member for 22 years and former kitchen club president.She worked as an aide at Torrance State Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 1985.Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Arthur D. Whitfield whom she married August 20, 1941; seven children, Arthur L. "Skip" Whitfield and wife, Margaret Ann of Blairsville; William C. "Brother" Whitfield and wife, Toni of Chicago, Illinois; Charles N. "Scooter" of Blairsville; Rev. Russell D. "Russ" Whitfield and wife, Mary of Blairsville; Marlene Marie Adams and husband, Michael of Blairsville; Marjorie Jo "Jo" Walker and husband, Wallace of Philadelphia; Lynda Darnell "Wendy" Wilson and husband, Jeffrey of Johnstown; a daughter-in-law, Harriet Whitfield-James of Brooklyn, NY; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret "Peg" Parker of Blairsville; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and a long-time special friend, Pauline Evanko of Josephine and other friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Parker and two sisters, Viola Easton and Lillian Veney.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Second Baptist Church, 241 E. Campbell Street, Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Second Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie C. Morris, Sr. officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PAThe family suggests, memorial contributions be made to the Second Baptist Church, P.O.
