Hedy Lee Roser Rhoades, 58, of Homer City, PA passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.The daughter of Thomas and Gloria Myers Roser, she was born November 15, 1947 in Indiana, PA.Hedy lived her entire life in Homer City where she was a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church. She graduated from Laura Lamar High School in 1965 and was a self-employed day care provider.Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Rhoades Berfield and husband, Chad of Homer City; a son, Jamie Rhoades and special friend, Susie Naman of Homer City; her beloved grandchildren, Maitlyn and Brennen Berfield; mother, Gloria Myers Roser of Homer City; sister, Gloria Jean Cunningham and husband, Dan of Franklinton, NC and a brother, Tom Roser and wife, Linda of Homer City; niece, Michaela Henigin of Los Angeles, CA; nephew, T.J. Roser of Blairsville and two very special friends, Brianne and Bill Thomas.She was preceded in death by her father on October 4, 2005 and an infant sister, Constance Roser.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Homer City United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph R. Stains officiating.Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
