Laura Frances Hammond Eyles, 78, of Blairsville, PA (Strangford) passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.The daughter of Willie and Emma Lee Spain Hammond, she was born October 9, 1927 in Wake Co., North Carolina.Mrs. Eyles was a member of the Independent Baptist Church, Blairsville, PA.Prior to her retiring, she was a self-employed childcare provider.Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Anthony and husband, Ronald of Blairsville, PA and Joyce A. Brewington of Zebulon, NC; six grandchildren, Judith Beggs of Blairsville; David Anthony and wife, Sue of Oglesby, IL; Jon Anthony of Blairsville; Karla Ladd and husband, Frank; Nathaniel O. Bost and Andrew Scott Armstrong and wife, Edith all of Zebulon, NC; 10 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Wolfe of Phoenix, AZ; Brian Hancock of Prescott, AZ; Robert Beggs of Blairsville; Nicholas Bost and Michael Ladd, both of Zebulon, NC; Daniel Ladd of Jacksonville, FL; Kaitlyn and Allison Anthony, both of Oglesby, IL and Keanna and Andrew Armstrong, Jr., both of Zebulon, NC She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Eyles in 1978; a grandson, Mark W. Anthony; a great granddaughter, Elizabeth N. Beggs; a brother, Bill Caviness and a sister, Dorothy Caviness.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev.
