John Borish, 78, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.The son of George and Mary Mahas Boros, he was born April 25, 1927 in Burrell Twp., PA.Mr. Borish was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1488, all of Blairsville and was a life member of the Black Lick Volunteer Fire Dept.He was a US Army veteran of World War II.Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Fisher Scientific, Indiana, PA for 30 years.Surviving are a daughter, Paula Daskivich and husband, Thomas of Black Lick, PA; a brother, Mike Boros of Erie, PA and two sisters-in-law, Helen Boros of Indiana, PA and Wanda Phillips of Blairsville, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Jane Bergman Borish on May 17, 2004; son, Ronald in 1963; grandson, William John Lewis in 1997; sister, Mary Kundla and a brother George Boros.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday and from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday the time of the funeral service at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. with Rev.
