Muriel A. Bothwell Galloway, 95, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, December 2, 2005 in Blairsville, PA.A daughter of Albert and Fannie Pensom Bothwell, she was born February 1, 1910 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Galloway was a member of the Blairsville United Presbyterian Church where she was a ruling elder, served as clerk of session for many years and the Mizpah Bible Class. She was also a member of the Blairsville Senior Center, very active with the Girl Scouts and PARSE and served on the advisory board for the Aging Services.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1927 and from Greensburg Business College in 1929.Prior to her retirement in 1975, she was employed by the Department of Public Welfare as a supervisor.Surviving are a son, William A. Galloway Sr. of Blairsville, PA and a daughter, Janice Galloway of Framingham, Mass; five grandchildren, Jean Ann Messenger, William A. Galloway Jr., Joel M. Galloway, Brenda Khouja and Kimberly Moody; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Nat Bothwell and a sister, Evelyn Pearce.The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 137 N.
