William Edward Geletka, Sr., 93, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2005 in Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.A son of Josef P. and Agnicska Monka Geletka, he was born February 14, 1912 in Connellsville, PA.Mr. Geletka was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral, PA and Jednota.Prior to his retirement in 1977, he was employed by FMC, Homer City, PA.Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Ruth C. Clawson Geletka whom he married November 8, 1933; two sons, Robert Geletka and wife, Joyce of Bridgeton, NJ and Mark Geletka and wife, Phyllis of Indiana, PA; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Geletka of Bentonville, AR; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth Wigginton of Burlington, NJ.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, William E. Geletka Jr. in 1955 and Tony Geletka in 2003; a grandson, Robert E. Geletka; five brothers, John, Edward, Joseph, Albert and Emil Geletka; seven sisters, Anna Marie Geletka, Frances Geletka, Martha Andreolli, Eleanor Mihalcik, Mary Cowden, Agnes Gnibus and Vernie Mihalcik.The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Monday at 3:30 P.M. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral, PA with Monsignor Larry Kiniry as celebrant.Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral, PA
