Jane Paniale Laney, 84, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005 in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PAA daughter of Joseph and Celestina Pavetto Paniale, she was born August 19, 1921 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Laney was of the catholic faith. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Cape Coral, FL and the Mutual Benefit Italian Women's Auxiliary, Blairsville, PA.She retired in 1975 from Torrance State Hospital as a food service supervisor with 30 years of service.Surviving are two sisters, Theresa Lasinski of Blairsville, PA and Irma Brozick and husband, Frank of Blairsville, PA; three nephews and two nieces, Don Brozick and wife, Joan of Glen Allen, VA; Joe Brozick and wife, Susan of Pittsburgh, PA; Shirley Flickinger and husband, Fergeson of Blairsville, PA; Debbie Lutton and husband, Tim of Blairsville, PA and Rob Lasinski and wife, Angie of Blairsville, PA; several great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William P. Laney on September 11, 1983; a brother, Peter Paniale and a special friend, Charles W. Harbury.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
