Raymond William Thomas, 74, of Blairsville, PA (Gray Station) passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.A son of Robert and Clara G. Smith Thomas, he was born January 17, 1931 in Walcott, NY.Mr. Thomas was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.He worked at Dan White Lumber Co., Champion, PA, retiring in 1995.Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Eleanor I. Kintz Thomas whom he married April 15, 1950; a daughter, Marie Rowley of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, John Rowley and wife, Anne and Ronaele Rowley; a half-brother, Robert Thomas of Walcott, NY; two sisters, Edna Shippers of Rochester, NY and Estella Weigand of Jordan, NY; and a half-sister, Florence Seymoure of Walcott, NY.He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, John Rowley; two brothers, Fred and Robert G. Thomas; two sisters, Beatrice Glass and Margaret Thomas.Private visitation will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
