Elizabeth C. Salm Javens, 69, of Derry, PA passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2005 in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.The daughter of Wilbert and Evelyn Salm, she was born July 25, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA.Mrs. Javens was a member of St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry, PA.Surviving are a son, Russell A. Javens of Derry, PA; two daughters, Charlotte McBurney of Ormand Beach, FL and Lisa Mang of Avita, FL; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Chilson and Helen Hatshita, both of New York.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Javens in 2003; a son, Mark Javens in 1992 and a brother, Joseph Salm.There will be no visitation.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry, PA with Rev. Fr. Martin R. Bartel as celebrant.Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
