Maryann Bernas Hebenthal, 54, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.) passed away on Friday, August 5, 2005 in Mountain View Specialty Care, Greensburg, PA.The daughter of Joseph C. and Mary M. Oravec Bernas, she was born June 28, 1951 in Johnstown, PA.Mrs. Hebenthal was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral, PA. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and served on the board of directors at the Burrell Twp. Library. Surviving are her husband, James R. Hebenthal whom she married September 18, 1998; a daughter, Patricia A. Bellak of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Helen Dzendzel and husband, Charles of Johnstown, PA and a half-sister, Blanche Regan and husband, Daniel of Johnstown, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents.Private visitation will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Coral, PA with Monsignor Larry Kiniry as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
