Ronald R. Vance, 71, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, July 22, 2005 in Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.The son of Robert Kenneth and Eleanor M. McIntire Vance, he was born June 21, 1934 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Vance enjoyed golfing, fishing and working in the garden.Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was employed by Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville, PA.Surviving are four sons, Ronald J. Vance and wife, Julie of Cleves, Ohio; Thomas R. Vance and wife, Carol of Las Vegas, Nevada; Kerry S. Vance and wife, Diana of Mt. Pleasant, PA and David D. Vance and wife, Sheryl of Export, PA; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and two brothers, James Vance of Lewistown, PA and Kenneth Vance of Melbourne, Florida.He was preceded in death by his parents.The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Roger D. Petersen officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
