Roberta "Birdie" Bruner Harshbarger Kwisnek, 61, of Blairsville, PA (Blacklick Twp.) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA with her loving family at her side.The daughter of Ralph R. and Beatrice V. Wolfe Bruner, she was born June 22, 1943 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Kwisnek attended the Free Methodist Church, Black Lick, PA and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.Prior to her retirement, she was employed by R & P Coal Company, Lucern 9 for 17 years.Roberta's life revolved around her family and most importantly her grandchildren.She was the devoted mother of Richard R. Harshbarger and wife, Deneen and Rita C. Blystone and husband, Joseph all of Blairsville, PA; proud grandmother of Tiffany Campbell, Kayleen Harshbarger, Kayla Blystone, Chad Blystone, Buddy Harmon, Corry Harshbarger, Candice Palmer and great granddaughter, Briana Taylor; loving sister of James Bruner and wife, Joyce of Clarksburg, PA; Clark Bruner and wife, Gladys of Blairsville, PA; Kenneth Bruner and Diane of Blairsville, PA; Thomas Bruner of Clarksburg, PA; Virginia Zona of Clarksburg, PA and Martha Bruner of Blairsville, PA and wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Jeffrey Bruner.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA and Sunday from 12:30 to 2 P.M. in the Free Methodist Church, Black Lick, PA. Funeral services will be held in the church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Fred Craig officiating.Interment will be in Luther Chapel Cemetery, Coral, PA.
