Samuel Eugene Barnhart, 80, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.The son of Clyde E. and Verna P. Hubert Barnhart, he was born October 22, 1924 in Derry Twp., PA.Mr. Barnhart was a member of Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Blairsville, PA.He was employed as an equipment operator in construction, retiring in 1990.Surviving are three sons, Robert D. Barnhart and wife, Leatrice of Blairsville, PA; Ronald D. Barnhart of York, PA and Larry W. Barnhart and wife, Dee of Blairsville, PA; four grandchildren, Alene Secrise; Shawn Barnhart; Erick Barnhart and Christopher Barnhart; two brothers, Lee A. Barnhart and wife, Mary Jo of Blairsville, PA and Donald E. Barnhart of Blairsville, PA; two sisters, Irene Kline of Belmont, Ohio and Dorothy Sharp and husband, Roy of Blairsville, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys R. Fenton Barnhart on February 6, 2003 and a brother, Leonard Barnhart in 2003.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
