Kathleen R. Rubino Baird, 62, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, May 16, 2005 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.The daughter of Thomas Rubino, Sr. and Pauline E. Short Rubino Bombulie, she was born May 16, 1943 in Latrobe, PA.Mrs. Baird was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA where she taught Sunday school for 13 years.She worked as a nurse's aid for 12 years at Torrance State Hospital and retired in 2003 from Green Meadows Nursing Home, Latrobe, PA with 13 years service.Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Perry W. Baird whom she married December 16, 1975; two sons, Phillip G. Watkins Jr. and his wife, Joanna of Wichita, Kansas; Timothy J. Watkins Sr. of Bradenville, PA; daughter, Rebecca L. Baird of Blairsville, PA; stepdaughter, Cristal D. Baird of Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren and a brother, Thomas B. Rubino of Daytona, Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, April Watkins.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Dean E. Byrom officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
