Iome C. Lowers Peffer, 90, of Altoona, PA formerly of Blairsville went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 9, 2005 in the Hillview Nursing Center, Altoona, PA.The daughter of Roy M. and Laura M. Miller Lowers, she was born September 30, 1914 in Swissvale, PA.Mrs. Peffer was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, PA and the Daughters of Hebron.She graduated from Altoona High School with the Class of 1933.Surviving are her daughter, Arlene P. Neal of Bellwood, PA: a brother, Logan M. Lowers of Essex, MD; a sister, Jean Anspach of Hollidaysburg, PA and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elvin Merrill Peffer on June 29, 1994 and a brother, George Lowers.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. John Collins and Mr. Leonard Anspach co-officiating.Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Trauger, PA.
