James Earnest Mumau, 67, of Blairsville, PA passed away at his home on Friday, April 1, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. The son of Dio S. and Flay Z. "Gromley" Mumau, he was born April 22, 1937 in Grant Twp., Indiana County. James was a member of the Marion Lodge #0562 Scottdale F &AM, Grogas Lodge of Perfection, Uniontown, PA; United Commercial Travelers; Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh. He was employed by the Williamhouse LLC, Scottdale, PA for 17 years; he was an over the road truck driver for Ames Department stores for the last 4 years. Surviving is his wife Patricia J. "Norris" Mumau whom he married May 5, 1956; two children, James and his wife Elaine Mumau of Acme, PA; a son-in-law Daniel Piasecke of Connellsville, PA; two brothers, Dean Mumau and his wife Joan, of Commodore, PA; Charles Kerr and his wife, Becky of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Jean Divita of LaValle, WI; Eulale Filler and her husband, Carl of Homer City, PA; two grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Mullison and her husband, James and James J. Mumau. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jane Mumau Piasecke on November 27, 2004; three brothers William Mumau, Samuel Mumau, and Frank Kerr; three sisters, Sara Lineman, Hazel Manner, LaRue Hawk. At the request of Mr. Mumau there will be no visitation. There will be a memorial service Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut Street, Blairsville, PA with the Pastor Doug McCord officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arnold Palmer Cancer Pavilion in Greensburg or the Latrobe Area Hospice.
