Mary Amelia Reffo Sulkosky, 76, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Friday, March 4, 2005 in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.The daughter of Michael E. and Amelia E. Hershbine Reffo, she was born August 26, 1928 in Millwood Shaft, Derry Twp., PA.Mrs. Sulkosky was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Stanley F. Sulkosky, Sr. whom she married October 11, 1947; five children, Michael and his wife, Kathy of Blairsville, PA; Richard and his wife, Carol of Derry, PA; Victoria Rager and her husband, Walter of Blairsville, PA; William and his wife, Sharon of Canonsburg, PA and Robert and his wife, Michele of Derry, PA; 10 grandchildren, Tricia Morris; Michael Sulkosky Jr.; Mary Robinson; Wendy McClosky; Jennifer Ludwig; Melissa Sulkosky; Timothy Rager; Rebecca Rager; Erin Sulkosky and Erica Sulkosky; six great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Sulkosky of Latrobe, PA; three brothers, Teresio Reffo of Derry, PA; Felix Reffo of Bradenville, PA and Robert Reffo of Latrobe, PA; a special aunt, Emma Jean Lanigan and her faithful companion, her dog, Skipper.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Stanley F. Jr. and Thomas A.; a great granddaughter, Bethany Morris and two brothers, Carl and Eugene Reffo.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake Service will be held on Monday at 8:30 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
