Sandra I. Spires Bollinger, 63, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PAThe daughter of Paul J. and Gladys L. Craig Spires, she was born June 8, 1941 in Latrobe, PA.Mrs. Bollinger was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church and was past president of the F.O.E. #1488 Ladies Auxiliary both of Blairsville. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she was employed by Torrance State Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for 22 years.Surviving are three sons, Eric Bollinger of San Antonio, Texas; George P. Bollinger and his wife, DeeAnn of Blairsville, PA; Brian Bollinger and his wife, Jamie of Blairsville, PA; a daughter, Tina Bollinger of Blairsville, PA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Penny Hunger of Helotes, Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Karen R. Taylor officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
