Helen Ann Cherry Nerone, 96, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PAThe daughter of Anthony and Helen Kriz Cherry, she was born October 17, 1908 in Clymer, PA.Mrs. Nerone was a member of SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.She loved her family, enjoyed bingo and playing cards with her friends.Surviving are three children, Phyllis Endress and her husband, George of Blairsville, PA; Joseph Nerone and his wife, Nancy of Columbus, Ohio and Mary Calabrese and her husband, Paul of Mauldin, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Barry Nerone and his wife, Triesha; John "Dude" Nerone and his wife, Nancy; Deborah Nerone; Annette Nerone; Sue Ann Lever; Kathleen Norton and her husband, Mark; Kimberly Bolen and her husband, Mark; Tracy Gaston and her husband, Mike; Tama Smith and her husband, Bart; George Endress Jr. and his wife, Jill; Kristen Calabrese; Bob Nerone; Edward Nerone and his wife, Debra and Lisa Hamilton and her husband, Kevin; 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John G. Nerone on December 4, 1988; a son, John Anthony Nerone; four brothers, Joseph, Stanley, Frank and Anthony Cherry and four sisters, Pauline Olinchick, Louise, Lydia Harnett and Mary.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
