Ethel E. Erb Duke Bost, 87, of Blairsville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2005 in St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.The daughter of Charles Roy and Anna J. Ross Erb, she was born November 6, 1917 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Bost was a member of the Strangford United Methodist Church and the Blairsville Grange #2012. Her interests were gardening, crafting and helping others.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1937 and worked as a licensed practical nurse for Torrance State Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1974.Mrs. Bost will be greatly missed by family, friends and those she touched with her loving, caring and sharing life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.Surviving are a son, Ernest Duke and his wife, Peggy of Greensburg, PA; four daughters, Janet Reid and her husband, John of Tunnelton, PA; Carole Staats and her husband, Frank of Blairsville, PA; Faye Ann Drawl and her husband, Richard of State College, PA and Joan Stano and her husband, Steve of Tunnelton, PA; three stepchildren; Nellie Risinger and her husband, Tom of Blairsville, PA; John Bost and his wife, Victoria of Ashtabula, OH and George W. Bost and his wife, Diane of Blairsville, PA; 30 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Erb and his wife, Gene of Blairsville, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph E. Duke on October 13, 1967; her second husband, George W. Bost Sr. on October 6, 1997; five brothers, Robert, Earl, Leonard, Donald and Edward; two sisters, Louise Harkins and Helen Miller.The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jason L. McQueen officiating.Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA
