Nora E. Penrose Muir, 89, of Mansfield, Ohio formerly of Blairsville, PA (Socialville) passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at her home.The daughter of Leslie E. and Susan E. Lichtenfelt Penrose, she was born April 14, 1915 in West Wheatfield Twp., PA.Mrs. Muir lived in Socialville before moving to Mansfield, Ohio 10 years ago. She was a member of the Strangford United Methodist Church.Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Craft and her husband, James of Mansfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother George Penrose of New Florence, PA; two sisters, Pearl Krebs of Robinson, PA and Erma Rodkey of New Florence, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loy E. Muir on January 28, 2002; a son, Leslie E. Muir in 1990; a great-great granddaughter, Allison Marie Fry; five brothers, Albert, Joseph, Fred, Russell and Paul Penrose; two sisters, Vinnie Boring and Hazel Lichtenfels.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 to 2 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Phillips officiating.Interment will be in Germany Lutheran Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PA.
