Ruth A. Pease Neal, 89, of Blairsville, PA died on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, PA.A daughter of John C. and Bessie A. Houser Pease, she was born September 22, 1915 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Neal was a member of the First Baptist Church, Blairsville.She lived her entire life in Blairsville and graduated from Blairsville High School in 1933.She was a noon hour supervisor for the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District from 1958 to 1985 and after her retirement she was involved with Meals and Wheels. Surviving are two sons, Leslie C. Neal Jr. and his wife, Jan of Castro Valley, California and James A. Neal and his wife, Linda of Blairsville, PA; and a daughter, Marilyn Sprinkle of Indiana, PA; six grandchildren, Julie Alsin, Eric Neal, Jeff Neal, Mark Neal, Todd Neal and Michael Neal; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie C. Neal, Sr. in 1978; a brother, John N. Pease and four sisters, Cathern Cummings, Emma Calabrese, Alice Keith and Mary Pease.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
