Thomas C. Calabrese, 87, of Blairsville, PA died on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PAA son of Thomas and Josephine D'Amico Calabrese, he was born March 4, 1917 in Torrance, PA.Mr. Calabrese was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.He worked in the construction business and for Clark Metal Products, Blairsville, PA. He retired in 1982 from the Blairsville Sewage Treatment Plant.Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Orr and her husband, Bill of Blairsville, PA and a son, Thomas J. Calabrese and his wife, Norma of Martinez, Georgia; four grandchildren, William Orr and his wife, Laura; Stephanie Roberts and her husband, Roy; Jeffrey Calabrese and his wife, Jennifer and Thomas Orr and his wife, Amy; three great grandchildren; a brother Joseph Calabrese of Blairsville and a sister, Dora Clawson of Blairsville, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mario and Emidio Calabrese.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Thursday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
