Mary E. Pease, 81, of Blairsville, PA died on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 in St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.A daughter of John and Bessie A. Houser Pease, she was born March 12, 1923 in Blairsville, PA.Ms. Pease was a member of the First Baptist Church, Blairsville, PA.She retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with 20 years of service.Surviving are a sister, Ruth Neal of Blairsville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John N. Pease and three sisters, Catherine Cummings, Emma Calabrese and Alice Keith.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Paul L. Carter officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
