William Freeman Clark, Sr., 69, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) died on Sunday, September 26, 2004 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A son of Samuel and Kathryn Whirlow Clark, he was born August 6, 1935 in Export, PA.Mr. Clark was a member of the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the Derry Ukrainian Society. He was a veteran of the US Army.Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed by Torrance State Hospital for 35 years.Surviving are two sons, William F. Clark Jr. and his wife, Marsha of Karns City, PA and Timothy A. Clark of Butler, PA; two daughters, Lori L. Clark of Butler, PA and Debora K. Safranek and her husband, Andrew of Slippery Rock, PA; six grandchildren; three stepsons, Edward Richardson of Mt. Pleasant, PA; Mark Richardson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Richardson and his wife, Linda of Cooks Forest, PA; three stepdaughters, Cindy Matthews and her husband, Bruce of Mt. Pleasant, PA; Patty Schake and her husband, Lanny of Greensburg, PA and Diana Davis and her husband, Larry of Jeannette, PA; 15 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel F. Clark Jr. of Prattville, Alabama; four sisters, Linda Heilman of Burlington, North Carolina; Irene Mide of Cleveland, Ohio; Mary of Odessa, Florida and Lydia Kaywood of Miami, Florida.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillie "Betty" Grass Clark on March 17, 1999 and a brother, Harry Clark.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA
