Lourene Virginia Woodruff, 86, of Derry, PA died on Thursday, September 2, 2004 in the Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, PA.The daughter of Albert G. and Edna I. Gieke Woodruff, she was born June 27, 1918 in Eifort, Ohio.Miss Woodruff was a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church and Teamsters Local Union #926.She worked as an inspector for Federal Laboratories, Tunnelton, for 38 years.Surviving are two sisters, Geraldine Norem of Oceanside, CA and Jenny Henderson of Derry, PA; a sister-in-law, Nicoletta Woodruff of Saltsburg, PA; four nephews, Kent Norem of Antelope, CA; Michael Norem of Kauai, Hawaii; Mark Norem of Fallbrook, CA and Mitch Norem of Oceanside, CA; two nieces, Janet Woodruff of Corry, PA and Renee Hofmann of Derry, PA; and several great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Arthur Woodruff and Clifford Woodruff.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Ronald G. Durika and Rev. Christy Ramsey co-officiating.Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
