Wilford L. "Bill" Ramsden, 91, of Blairsville, PA died on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.The son of William and Grace Terry Ramsden, he was born December 11, 1912 in Burrell Twp., Indiana Co., PA.Mr. Ramsden was a member of B.P.O.E. #406, Blairsville, PA.He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marines.Prior to his retirement in 1977, he was employed by Blairsville Wilbert Vault Company for 20 years.Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary F. Hawk Ramsden whom he married July 6, 1954; a son, James W. Ramsden of San Jose, California and a stepdaughter, Kay Ross and her husband, Frank of Irwin, PA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Karl, Merle, Ray and Jack Ramsden and two sisters, Mildred Butler and Sylvia Shepherd.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Dean E. Byrom officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PAElks services will be held in the funeral home of Friday at 7:30 P.M.
