Sara Alice Hogue Murray, 84, of Blairsville, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 18, 2004.The daughter of Thomas and Emma M. Kirkland Hogue, she was born November 22, 1919 in Cokeville, PA.Mrs. Murray lived her entire life in Blairsville where she was a member of the Free Methodist Church.Surviving are four daughters, Helen Romanik of Blairsville, PA; Donna Phillips and her husband, William of New Alexandria, PA; Barbara Bodnar and her husband, Robert of Holiday Park, PA and Mary Lou Kozielec and her husband, Kenneth of Irwin, PA; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Hogue of Blairsville, PA; and four sisters, Ada Angelo of Uniontown, PA; Wanda Sagosky of Masontown, PA; Twila Hiner and her husband, Eugene of East Brady, PA and Clara Rafitz of Uniontown, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R. Donald Murray on October 30, 1988; two grandchildren, Brenda Lee Kearns and Melissa Dawn Kozielec; three brothers, Virgil, Alfred and Clifford Hogue and two sisters, Evelyn Hogue and Alberta Jennings.The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Charles L. O'Brien, Jr. officiating.Interment will be in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
