Mary Rita Iarrusso Hecker, 88, of Black Lick, PA died on Sunday, June 13, 2004 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. A daughter of Donato and Madeline Copp Iarrusso, she was born June 4, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA.Mrs. Hecker was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Graceton, PA.Surviving are two brothers, Joseph Iarrusso of Venice, Florida and Anthony Iarrusso of Penn Hills, PA and two sisters, Florence Parello of Wilmerding, PA and Carmella Pizzuto of Churchill, PA; numerous nieces and nephews especially those family members who provided care and support in her later years, Sylvia and Michael Kosalko and their children Katie and Michael Jr.; Larry, Stephanie and Preston Barnes; Mary Kosalko Kalafus and her husband, George and their son, Christopher Kalafus; Joanne Kosalko Kommer and her husband, Christian and their sons, Stevie and Nicky; Marlene Wojtowicz and family and long-time friend, Mitzi Hullenbaugh.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Hecker in 1981 and a sister, Antoinette Kosalko.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. in the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Graceton, PA. with Fr. Larry Kiniry as celebrant.Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
