Marcella G. Modrey Nibert, 67, of Indiana, PA (Cherryhill Twp.) died on Saturday, June 5, 2004 in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.A daughter of John and Veronica Koreni Modrey, she was born July 14, 1936 in Coal Run, PA.Mrs. Nibert was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, PA.She worked for Fours Company, Blairsville, as a seamstress prior to her retirement.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Leo N. Nibert of Indiana, whom she married December 27, 1958; her mother, Veronica Koreni Modrey of Blairsville; a daughter, Rose Nibert of Southwest, PA; two sons, Larry A. Nibert of Indiana and Mark A. Nibert and his wife, Shelly of Homer City; a grandson, Jacob Nibert; two sisters, Mary "Babe" Covin and her husband, Merle of Derry and Patty Quick and her husband, Ron of Blairsville; a brother, Ronald Modrey and his wife, Donna of Brenizer; a godchild, Mary Ann McCurdy of Homer City and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Stephen Modrey and infant brother, John Modrey, Jr.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J.
