Arthur L. Weinell, 81, of Blairsville, PA died on Saturday, May 1, 2004 in Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.A son of Joseph J. and Nellie Rosborough Weinell, he was born February 18, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1941 and was a member of the UTU Local #1074.Mr. Weinell was a trainman for Conrail, retiring with 40 years service in 1981. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps and the 727th Railroad Battalion from 1943 through 1945.He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp Eight Point and woodworking.Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Kathleen "Kitty" Dameron Weinell whom he married on April 21, 1946; two children, Terry A. Weinell and his wife, Maryann of Wexford, PA and Dr. Bonnie S. Dunlap and her husband, Rex W. of Blairsville, PA; four grandchildren, Jason A. Weinell and his wife, Kim; Jennifer L. Weinell; Laurel L. Dunlap and Robin L. Dunlap; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Chloe Weinell; a sister, Donna Carlson and her husband, Richard H. of Hillside, PA and two sisters-in-law, Grace E. Weinell and Carol Weinell and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl J., Kenneth E. and James E. Weinell and three sisters, Lois Jenner, Alice Weinell and Alma Weinell.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Joe Traynor, Chaplain at Beacon Ridge, officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
