Louis M. Kintz, 92, of Blairsville, PA (Gray Station) died on Friday, April 2, 2004 at his home.A son of Ambrose and Mary T. Short Kintz, he was born November 29, 1911 in Derry, PA.Mr. Kintz was a member of SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Kennametal, Inc., Delmont, PA.Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor Thomas and her husband, Raymond of Blairsville, PA and Dorothy Hoare of Homer City, PA; three grandchildren, Marie Rowley, Donna Scanlon and Janice Rosporski; and eight great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy E. Devers Kintz on June 6, 1998; four brothers, William, Clarence, Clyde and Leonard Kintz; two sisters, Fideles Stairs and Bertha Sparber; a son-in-law, Donald G. Hoare; two grandsons, Donald C. Hoare and David Hoare and a great granddaughter, Kalynne Scanlon.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Wake service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. in the SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
