George D. Korich, 65, of Blairsville, PA died on Friday, March 26, 2004 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.A son of George and Rose C. Thompson Korich, he was born July 1, 1938 in Cokeville, PA.He lived his entire life in Blairsville.Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Blairsville Machine Products for 25 years.He is survived by a sister, Margaret Barnhouse and her husband, Leslie of Blairsville: a nephew, Chris Platt and his wife, Bethany of Bremerton, Washington and an aunt, Mary Pittman of Blairsville, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt, Ann Blassmeyer.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey L. Ruff officiating.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
