Marie Barnhart Strong, 86, of Indiana, PA died on Monday, March 15, 2004 in Bethany Place, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Harry H. and Mildred Redding Barnhart, she was born April 18, 1917 in Livermore, PA.Mrs. Strong was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Indiana, PA.Surviving are a son, Harold Dean Strong of Indiana, PA; four brothers, Raymond Barnhart and his wife, Kay of Blairsville, PA; Lyle Barnhart and his wife, Ellen of Blairsville, PA; Glenn Barnhart and his wife, Ollie of Belle Vernon, PA and Paul Barnhart and his wife, Arlene of Champion, PA; three sisters, Ruth Trimble of Blairsville, PA; Gladys Miller and her husband, Bert of Frankfurt, Indiana and Evelyn Miller and her husband, Orin of Latrobe, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas E. Strong in 1976; a daughter, Joyce Marie Strong; a grandson, Tracy Strong and four brothers, Edward, Pershing, George and Dale Barnhart.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Robert W. Goossen officiating.Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
