Zelma Maude Johnson, 94, of Blairsville, PA formerly of Farmville, VA died on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Ruby Fumea, Blairsville, PA.A daughter of James Lewis and Bell Loveday Lewis, she was born March 18, 1909 in Sevierville, TN.Mrs. Johnson lived the past eight years in Blairsville and was attending the Gray Station Community Church.Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Craddock-Terry Shoe Co., Farmville, VA for 36 years.Surviving are four sons, Coy Leatherwood and his wife, Frances of Farmville, VA; Bob Leatherwood of Farmville, VA; Jack Leatherwood and his wife, Linda of Farmville, VA and Tom Leatherwood and his wife, Linda of Powhatan, VA; three daughters, Ruby Fumea of Blairsville, PA; Mae Goforth and her husband, Carl of Farmville, VA and Ann Goforth of Hampton, VA; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild; two brothers, Walter Lewis and Eugene Lewis both of Farmville, VA and two sisters, Lois Styfurak and Jane Rostis both of Indiana, PA.She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clifford Leatherwood; second husband, John Johnson; grandson, Donald Goforth; great grandson, Harry Carnahan Jr.; brothers, Floyd, Leonard and Boyd; and sisters, Frankie Parton and Leona Dunn.The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 8:30 P.M. with Rev. James Henigin officiating.Interment will be in Farmville Memorial, Farmville, VA.
